COOTS

One day in 1997 Jim Fitting, the extraordinary harmonica player (former member of The The and Treat Her Right; currently part of the popular Session Americana), and Evan realized it might be fun to start a band with no guitar - just harp, piano, bass and drums.  Killer bassist Bill "King" Kane had just finished touring with G. Love & Special Sauce and was available.  The COOTS were born.  With a rotating cadre of drummers - the one-and-only Jerome Deupree, the elusive David (no, not Dave) Matthews and up-and-coming-contender-for-the-throne Steve Turcott - they have created a unique blend of blues, roots, country and instrumental music that defies categorization.  Sometimes they call it Swamp Rock.  In 2000 The COOTS released their first cd "Message From The 7th Dimension," followed in 2005 by their classic "Pray For Rain" (available here).  A live performance by The COOTS is an event not to be missed.
The Chip Smith Project
The Chip Smith Project

The Chip Smith Project is Laurie Sargent, Billy Conway, John Holden and Evan Harriman.  But those are not their real names.  The years of lies and deception are over.  The time has come for the world to learn the truth about these fine musicians.  For the straight story go to www.myspace/thechipsmithproject.

Phil Ayoub Band

Singer/songwriter Phil Ayoub is an MBA and former financier who threw it all away to pursue his love of rock and roll.  He recently released a wonderful cd, "Schoolbus Window Paper Heart" produced by the estimable Tim Bradshaw (John Mayer, David Gray).  A dynamic and charming performer, Phil has assembled a crackerjack backing band (including Evan Harriman on piano) and is tearing it up from here to New Jersey and beyond.  For more check out www.philayoub.com and www.myspace/philayoub.
